Main Octave Neys – (Standard Tone Neys)

Main octave are instruments tuned to primary, full-step pitch references (such as A, G, or F) and serve as the foundational instruments in Turkish classical music. These keys can be used directly for most repertoire and modal structures without the need for transposition. They are referred to as “main” because they form the core tonal basis of the ney system.
